Gauhati High Court agreed to hear IFF’s application question rules which empower the government to suspend internet services without any judicial/independent oversight.

After much furore around the Bulli Bai incident, some arrests have been made and the investigation is still pending. One of the victims of this incident wrote to the National Commission of Women and the Telangana State Women Commission seeking their intervention in ensuring fair investigation.

IFF has provided our comments on the Consultation Paper on Proposed Health Data Retention Policy. In our comments, we have tried to highlight the harms of mandatory data retention, issues around a fragmented healthcare regime and data portability issues.
